I’m one of four kids my parents had and happen to be the only girl. I grew up knowing how to take care of myself; beating up my twin younger brothers was just a bonus I threw in for good measure. Ahhh, those were the days. That didn’t last long though. To say they merely surpassed me in height would be an understatement. They both grew to be over six feet and my body decided I would stop growing at five foot three inches. Needless to say I try to stay on their good side now.
Us kids were US Army brats and traveled the world. We ended up living in Japan the longest and that was a blast! If you’ve never been, I highly recommend it. The military tradition stayed strong with my older brother who graduated from West Point Military Academy and is now a Captain and a Black-Hawk pilot living in Alabama. Apparently military life was also in the blood of one of the twins who recently graduated from the Air Force Academy and is now going to graduate school in Hawaii. He’s roughing it, I’m sure. As for myself, I didn’t join up, but I did work for the Department of Defense for a couple of years. Now I have joined the other twin in working for a non-military related industry.
I’m a quarter Japanese and speak it fluently and can read and write a bit too. People rarely notice I have any asian blood in me. Though my eyes are blue, I have been told on a rare occasion, that the shape of my eyes reveal “some” asian ethnicity. Go figure.
I love doing Voice-Overs. Commercials, animation, narration, you name it, I love it all. I feel very fortunate to be able to do something I love. So few people in the world ever figure out what they want to do in their life and even fewer get to actually do it when they DO figure it out. I have an incredibly supportive husband and family. It makes it easy to follow your dreams. I’m excited and ready for just about anything. |
